Dan Druff
Hi folks!
I'm the hair raisingly wonderful Dan Druff! After that, anything else I can tell you about myself just keeps getting even more amazing! Most of it is Top Secret anyway, so anything I say that seems too fantastic you could just treat with a healthy dose of scepticism - if it helps!
My father, I eventually discovered, was an apparently fictional fighter pilot, famous space pilot, chaplain and creator of a 1950s comic, The Dragon - and who mostly didn't exist - in the true sense - while my mother was an alien spaced-out hippy chick from the planet Riah Ten. They made such a great match it was inevitable the flame ignited from them would be as bright and incandescent as me!
Unfortunately, dad got a bit lost so I never really knew him and mum ended up back on Riah Ten where she got embroiled in some crazy adventures with my crazy gung-ho step father. I rather boringly got left behind to bring myself up here on Earth while my parents were away, so I set up home in the dusty cluttered attics of my school, St Oldershaw's in Wirral.
This was just my first top secret base of operations, where watching the skies and inventing machines for repelling alien invaders helped me to keep in touch with the desperate hope my parents would some day return for me.
Eventually I had to leave school and set up a new base of operations in the underground tunnels of Bidston Hill with my great mate and super mechanic, Denise Perry.
A couple of years later I was contacted by a girl called Daphne Dare who revealed to me the whole secret of the "real" dad I never knew and urged me to start constructing a top secret British Space Programme in the streets of Wirral and London called Street Fleet.
Unfortunately, as I'd not long lost Denise in the first full scale Mekadrone Invasion of Earth at that point, I spent most of my constructing time building Mole Machines to burrow deeper underground in my ongoing search for her.
By the time anyone found me again some decades had gone by and the 21st Century had arrived without a single flying car, personal jetpack or holiday to the moon!
It seems my lack of work on helping set up Street Fleet was largely responsible for this and I had a lot of sorting out to do. After a series of gruelling adventures, the now returned Denise and I ended up back in time at the Transcendental Castle in Oxton-On-The-Wold and waited patiently for the day we would be ourselves again!
Our mission now is to develop weapons of love and peace, bring harmony of open mindedness and understanding to the universe and get it on with tea and disco.
