Roger Gibson
I'm a comic writer and novelist from York - a little far away from the Wirral, admittedly, but I've known Mark, Neil and Dave for 25 years and have worked with them on various fun projects over the years.
At the moment I'm probably best known for my Harker detective comic strip (written by me, drawn by Vince Danks), of which 12 monthly issues were published from 2009 - 2010, and which was nominated for an Eagle Award in 2010. The comics have been collected into two complete 120 page graphic novels: The Book of Solomon and The Woman In Black. Both of these volumes are available at the Ariel Press website here: http://www.arielpress.com/store.html
Vince and I are currently negotiating with a major publisher to bring the Harker graphic novels to a wider audience, in full colour. We're also currently working on a new comic called Gravestown, though further Harker volumes are definitely forthcoming.
Last year Vince and I collaborated on a critically acclaimed Torchwood comic strip for Torchwood magazine.
I've recently completed the first in a series of Harker novels, called The Murder Club, and I'm already well into the second book of the ongoing series. I'm hoping to get Harker on the telly wiithin five years. Keep your fingers crossed!
I'd also love to finally get to work seriously on Dan Druff with Mark, as I've always thought it would sell bucketloads...
